Always ask for evidence. CNN, the NYT and MSNBC frequently report "anonymous sources". Beware of that. Also "shadow editing."

CNN reported "Russia, Russia, Russia" for three years. Plus they paid anonymous sources for fake information and hired the perpetrators as news analysts. They were rewarded for this by being tipped off by the FBI. They are on my ignore list for information feeds. Deservedly.
