making reservations? avoid this hotel at all costs!

Supa, It would be a good idea to remove the name (even partial) of the hotel where you are staying for your own safety. This is a public forum and pretty much anyone can read the common sections.

its on every post but that one. could i ask a mod for help?
As the hotel guest, I would have demanded a manager on the spot and let him/her have hell. Totally inappropriate behavior by this security person, and I would hazard a violation of the guest's rights as a visitor of the hotel. Lacking sufficient cause for stopping you two, and without resolution of the situation by the manager, I would have packed up immediately and left the hotel and told them to shove the bill (and let the credit card agency know it is a disputed charge if it stays on).

You have to hit these people in the pocketbook if you want them to take notice and change their business practices.

interesting. i've never heard of a problem in that hotel. considering that the club across the street provides many spur of the moment guests, that hotel has always seemed fairly laid back. maybe it was a special situation because of some special guests or function that day.
Seems LE was also trying to "clean up the quarter" that week. He may have been put on alert.
Wow! I've very sorry this happened to you. I have been told by a couple provider friends that the Sheraton on Canal Street is anything but "Provider Friendly". However, I've never had a problem there.

Supa, I don't think it was your attire or makeup. I think it was the security guard's prejudice or just plan having a bad night. You quoted the guard saying he "if he's not letting them up". I mean come on, it doesn't get any clearer then that.

Thanks for the alert!

Stay Safe!
