Deposit fees

I agree that asking for a deposit is a good indicator
that, even if she shows up (which is unlikely),
it will not be good

I would offer that ANY request for gift cards, (especially ebay) should send one looking elsewhere. It is my experience that ANY ad that says "payment in person/no deposit" will eventually turn into a "I don't take cash" statement with a demand for gift cards. NEVER send any type of picture of the back of the card, EVEN with activation code still unscratched.
