.

Please note that changing the terms of federal leases is akin to thievery. While we have no idea exactly how the Biden administration intends to modify those terms, we can guess he'll make them more like some of the more onerous terms in some leases on privately-owned ("fee") lands Originally Posted by Tiny

And I already know if it is the Biden Administration you are going to speculate like Chicken Little about how how unfair something is THAT HASN'T EVEN HAPPENED.

But if you're so sure and just not talking partisan shit on a hooker board...explain how we can make money shorting energy.

Because if you can't, I'm doing like Warren Buffett and buying more!

As to "short energy," I have shorted a way-overvalued truck EV company, but it's a tricky business because rates to borrow the shares can shoot sky high, your shares can get bought in, your broker can raise margin rates, etc.

Now please answer my question in Vitaman's thread. I'm serious -- I don't even look at publicly traded partnerships because I suspect they're tax traps, when you sell the shares. If I'm mistaken I'd like to know.

What you two do not get is that Biden is changing the narrative that there are not approved permits...

Did eith of you read the article? Both of you understand that energy companies actually like elevated oil prices?

There is this whole false narrative circulating that high oil prices are due to Biden. That is horseshit and both of you know it. Originally Posted by WTF

Didn't you post on here your entire portfolio a couple years back? You over ruled your broker on IBM stock. He wanted to sell it and you wanted to keep it.

I like Applied Materials and IBM. Nothing wrong with those two.

I hate to tell you this WTF, but sometimes you have to just agree to disagree. You have your beliefs about energy and others who you are arguing with don't agree with you. They won't change your mind and you won't change their minds. It is what it is.

There is a reason why boxing matches are limited to twelve rounds, and they stop the fight and they let the judges decide the winner. I could be incorrect, but the longest sanctioned boxing match ever went on for over 100 rounds and it was called a "no contest" for a reason because nobody could win.
