We live in a different World than we did the last time the entire World was at war. In WW-2, we had the ability to kill thousands in conventional weapons application.

Now we have the ability to kill millions of our enemies in minutes.

And they have the ability to return the mayhem.

Well I would say no except that if we do allow the ChiComs to invade Taiwan, all of our strategic relationships are null and void. We will cease being a global super power. China will become the economic center of the globe and we will essentially be in the position of the UK post WWII.

You can make an argument that that's a good thing or it's a bad thing. I think it's likely to happen regardless. Too many people here think that we can just vote ourselves money indefinitely. Economies do not work like that and historically, we've run our course as a nation. With the importation of a new electorate, we are losing our national identity and cohesiveness. Likely any armed response to a Taiwan invasion is going to lead to further balkanization of the States.

Electronic attacks (we know the USA is coming to everything is ready), biological attacks, media attacks, domestic terrorist attacks, attempts on the lives of the leadership in the Pentagon and Washington, and media attacks.

We should do our very best at helping Taiwan with supplies and military information but we can not sink one single Chinese ship because it's like eating potato chips, you can't stop at one. We should have started chip manufacturing and every other necessity provided by China the first time China started talking about taking Taiwan but we didn't. Then, we could do our very best to help the Taiwanese just like Ukraine, without military intervention like Naval ships sinking Chinese ships.
