You really think he';s going to play this hand with his own money? Rich people dont stay rich doing that.

Tony Sanchez dropped roughly $100M on his race for Texas Governor in 2002. Left him with about $1.2 billion...

B33 is just posting for the sake of posting. He knows little of Huntsman and has no real opinion.

As of June 30th he had only dnated 2 million to himself the rest is through donations and fundraising. We won;t know who donated yet because of his late entry into the race it won't come out till September 30th. I am postng because in politics its all about the money and its rarely and never thats its all yours. learn to read more perhaps before just making 3rd grade insults thinking you know what others know. its tiresome.

I don't know. He's publicly come out in favor or evolution and climate change.

He's proposed a bold health care plan that is lighter on entitlements yet provides a way for Republicans to embrace true reform

He's even proposed tax reform that some of the Baggers have actually publicly favored

Makes WAY too much sense.

No wonder he was trailing Herman Cain and Rick Santorum.

Interesting man. I agree, when Perry implodes, and if Perry is the frontrunner, then Huntsman may be the one to step forward, it may be the plan. Another Mormon though, what a mind blower for the Religious Fanatics. Maybe the Party feels they have put enough "Obama the Muslim" fear out there that the fanatics will even vote for a Mormon?

He has gone to lengths to distance himself from being a mormon. he is a politician.

"I was raised a Mormon, Mary Kaye was raised Episcopalian, our kids have gone to Catholic school, I went to a Lutheran school growing up in Los Angeles. I have an adopted daughter from India who has a very distinct Hindu tradition, one that we would celebrate during Diwali. So you kind of bind all this together."[75]"

You think Perry's gonna let him get away with that? Or FOX?

Doesn't he have a adopted child from China? Did he leave that child out? Not intended as a tacky question, just curious because I know I read he had adopted a chinese child also.

As a fairly middle of the road American, I do find Huntsman very interesting and many of his stances I favor (of course saying something and being able to get it done through Congress are two highly different things) and find logical. I am disappointed in Obama's accomplishments, but I am not sure Gandhi or Jesus could have accomplished any more if they had to first go through the House and Senate.

I was just looking at the wikipedia of Huntsman again, and see no mention of his ownership/partnership of the Huntsman Corporation with major foreign money. It was there in his Wiki Bio just three days ago, I wonder why it was removed?

It is going to be interesting how Fox treats him. He has ties to Murdock's "Down Under" and old buddie Monsanto, at least superficially. Of course Murdock is still a powderkeg that I feel like must blow up here too, eventually.

Actually, it's a child from India.

Once he becomes relevant, he'll be ripped apart by both left and right. He makes too much sense for either.
