Literally it's the new frontier of how businesses operate and is only self regulated to date. Policy formulation is usually not done in a vacuum of one or a small group. It's done by the contribution of group think and concerns - and usually involves outside experts as consultants.

In order to gather that kind of knowledge, you would have to invest incredible amount of money for proprietary single user knowledge versus employing outside vendors who are experts in this area alone.

The same would be considered of all the other areas that you found to be valueless, because your view is only from a user view versus an owner, and liability of platform perspective.
