If you absolutely must work out indoors, this is a good routine that is simple, avoids time wasting isolation exercises (curls etc) and focuses on compound lifts.

Cardio (aerobics) like walking on a treadmill helps very little to not at all for weight loss, and is many times counterproductive. It doesn’t keep up your metabolism for hours or even days like strength training. Once you step off the machine it’s benefits disappear, unlike when you actually damage muscle tissue and your body stays in high gear repairing it. It’s good for your heart though.
