The Trumpster's deportations

Removing government (taxpayer) benefits of any kind should be the top priority, then cracking down on employers. Doing just those will lead to a mass exodus, then ice can sweep up the remnants.

trump has been gifted a strong economy for the 2nd time. He'll run this one into the dirt like he did the first time, while simultaneously taking credit for it being great and bitching about what the Dems did to it after he tanks it. Originally Posted by tommy156

Now back to the OP:

Interesting read that does give a fair shake to how Trump's 1st term deportations were different from his predecessor and his successor... Originally Posted by HDGristle

See bar graph below. Deportations were way down under Biden, even as border encounters & known getaways skyrocketed. Deportations only went back up to match Trump's level this year, when Biden had to pretend to voters that he was tough on the border.

Are you aware that when Biden first took office in 2021 he ordered a 90-day freeze on all deportations? What a dumbfuck move that was. Even Mayorkas opposed it.

Why was Obama a better deporter than Trumpy bear without any of the same flack (sic) but almost no praise from Cons? Originally Posted by HDGristle

Well, Mexico has the largest silver deposits in the world. They will be one of the richest countries in the world. Immigrants will be flying back to Mexico. Mexico will want to finish the wall!!!!! Originally Posted by bambino

Encounters is a bad metric to use. Vast majority lead to expulsions, not deportations/removals.

Self deportations are not counted or true deportations. Originally Posted by HDGristle

Evictions isn't even part of the convo, Waco. Lusty is at least trying.

Lusty, the deportation numbers are known. 2.9 million in term 1. 1.9 million in term 2.

Trump's were at 1.5 million at the end of term 1 when he promised to deport more people in history and didn't even come close.

The biggest differences... family separations, rhetoric about immigrants and the focus on making immigration harder for legal immigrants, including the very process he used for his in-laws AND his wife.

Make no mistake, Obama was not loved by large swaths of immigrants. He was criticized by both sides of the aisle, actually... with many detractors on the left for his immigration and border policies.

Him looking out for Dreamers was an example of an olive branch to those on the left, and an overreach by those on the right.

If you eyeball my bar chart, you can see the totals are roughly half of what you just cited as the "known" deportation numbers. Here's where my chart comes from:

https://econofact.org/immigrant-depo...ds-and-impacts

What frustrates me is that the estimates of how many illegals have flooded in under Biden are all over the fucking map. From 5 million to 20 million.

How do we arrive at an approximate accurate total?

Encounters + Known Getaways + "Asylum" Applicants + "Parole" Program Fly-Ins - Deportations?

You tell me. You're the one who has posted dozens of links on the issue.

This isn't about securing the border or border encounters. It's about deportations. Apple and orange.

You're using a slice of data taken from SU TRAC (https://trac.syr.edu/) and that data only looks at ICE deportations (actual ICE removals), not immigration court deportation orders. Which is why your numbers are low. Deportations are tied to a court order.

Expulsions are not. The majority of encounters lead to fairly quick expulsions with no court date.

The majority of deportations take years because they require a deportation order and for other avenues that may delay deportation to run thier course. If ICE moves to deport, but you have a court case with an immigration court, that's held until your court case happens. And in many cases there is other relief. But we're focused on deportations, so I won't go there.

Self-deportations don't factor in. Those are voluntary departures. A deportation is involuntary.

And despite any pauses, Biden's total numbers are fairly on par with Trump's. Ironic. The guy shouting for deportations the most was fairly milquetoast on that front, did it slapdash, separated family's and didn't specifically target the kind of MS-13 folks he whined about because he let Miller and Cucinelli just go ham elsewhere instead of focusing on targeted enforcement.

COVID and Title 42 helped Trump keep encounters low... Biden relied on that as well to drive expulsions. But those aren't deportations.

And the number you're looking for is likely 11.9 million. Total.
When they busted the Westmoreland County Asian places years ago, one spa alone, J Spa, had more than 1.5 million in income just on credit cards alone, cash, obviously, was never seen.

That money goes straight back to Korean banks that loaned the money for the illegals to get here, in other words, its part of the larger, Nails, Chinese Restaurant, spas, that all are part of that illegal system.

So, fuck yeah get those AMPs closed, legalize prostitution and keep the money here. Originally Posted by Devo

A racist, wannabe fascist POTUS deporting AMPs is 1000x more likely to happen than him legalizing prostitution is.
