Legendary Actor Gene Hackman dead at 95

I know we all have to go sooner or later but this whole thing with Gene Hackman and his wife and their dog is just bizarre since no carbon monoxide or gas is the cause.

I really enjoyed his movies. I haven't been paying attention to the news. Now I am really curious after reading this.

This is so very sad.

Gene Hackman died of heart disease on 2/18.

His wife died of hantavirus from rats 7 days prior on 2/11.

From the info in the article, he lived for a week after his wife died but he was in such poor health from Alzheimer's and heart disease, it's possible he wasn't aware she was gone and autopsy report also show he hasn't eaten anything during that time.

Which tells me he was pretty much totally helpless in the final week of his life without her to help him and take care of him which I suspect include feeding him, clothing him, bathing him.
