Tesla vs Looney Tunes

Nope. I prefer not to have hassles simply for driving a particular car.

Reason number million why smart businessmen generally want nothing to do with politics. Shame…it’s good to have smart people in politics. Originally Posted by Charley3

Tesla has the highest market cap of all automobile manufacturers. They’ve accomplished this in a very short period of time. They’re not going anywhere anytime soon.

Your sophomoric poll on who’s buying a Tesla on a hooker board is completely worthless. But your commitment to being wrong is quite impressive.

OOOF

Full disclosure; I have no interest in owning an EV, but if I did buy one, it would be one of these.

I can not stop for a few hours every few hundred miles on a Texas run, nor an east coast run.

IMO EVs are only good for commuters that only drive a few hours a day and can then plug in overnight. However, most older homes do not have a sufficient main electric box to install a charger. Upgrading the house electric from the pole, meter and new main circuit box would be a requirement.

There are numerous stories about battery life. But the key is that it costs several thousand to replace the battery pack. This is where the falling resale value stories come from. There are new types of batteries last couple years, but still stopping ever few hundred miles does not fly.

Tesla (and others) should concentrate on the vehicle models that do make sense for folks to buy (commuters). I note that Ford has stepped back from heavy vehicle EV production, cancelling its large SUV and delaying production of pickups at the under construction Tennessee plant.

MAGA wants free markets to determine winners and losers. I couldn’t care less what someone drives. It should be your choice. You shouldn’t be keying cars because you now hate Elon Musk. Only mindless degenerates do shit like that.

The Legacy automobile manufactures are now slowing down their plans for EVs now that the Green Scam is being dismantled. VW has 350,000 EVs sitting in the desert because they’re not selling. As UC stated, Ford has slowed production of battery trucks and SUVs. Will EVs disappear? No. People still want them. China and India are making them out the wazzou.

But you can delight in the violence and destruction directed at Tesla and Musk. It’s who you are.

This is about the Rober Looney Tunes test, primarily, and whether it's encouraging you to buy a Tesla today. The overreliance on optical cameras vs lidar and radar from some competitors and Tesla's dodgy autopilot and full self drive options and lack of transparency with crash data are potentially significant for those actually interested in buying one.

Devo has a thread about the violence and vandalism if you wanna cover that there.

Funnier. Let's remember that FSD has been promised as a full feature "next year" every year since 2014. Maybe next year, as long as Elmo stays away from the ACME dynamite
