Everyone can come up with scenarios backing their position. So you went to the barrio and ate dinner without any problems. 1B1 only had to detour a few blocks to get around the riot. Laken Riley jogged around UGA campus without any problems until she was murdered. They are here illegally. Trump has put the offer out to self deport and receive $1000 and air fare to your home country. If they refuse this offer then ICE can and should be targeting them. The deployment of the national guard was to protect federal property and to keep this riot from spreading. Are there peaceful protesters involved in this riot. Of course but many are not. When fires are being set and stores looted it is imperative that government step in to control the chaos. Gov. Newsom and Mayor Bass refused to do anything. Trump did exactly what he should have. ICE agents cannot be fair game when executing warrants on criminals and illegals. Period. Those trying to justify the riot by blaming Trump and ICE for enforcing the law are dead wrong.

The National Guard and the Marines to save LA from burning to the ground according to Trump... I will not consider this brilliant Operation Trump Save SoCal mission fully executed until Newsom and the LA Mayor are arrested.

I prefer to look at the bright side of round 2 of Trump's comedy incompetent geezer tour at this point. There are only 3 1/2 years of this reality TV shit show airing until it is finally cancelled and not subject to renewal. As long as we don't have a pandemic that RFK Jr. is put in charge of handling, folks will be fine. I say just sit back and enjoy the bad entertainment while it lasts.

I will add that I do feel bad for some of those who will likely be deported in LA from a neighborhood not that far from downtown. When I lived in the financial district, I would frequently go there for some great authentic Mexican food. They never gave me any shit although I can't speak more than 10 words in Spanish, and they could clearly see that I was not Mexican. Regardless, thy were good hard-working people who gave great customer service and always made me and the company I kept feel extremely welcomed at their establishments. I’ve been in LA since Saturday. Leaving tomorrow. I’ve been downtown to several meetings. The protests are small and very limited. My uber was able to skirt around them by going about 3 blocks out of the way. I went to a club downtown Saturday night and a bar Sunday to watch the game. The riots didn’t even interrupt that.
