U.S. attacks Iran

JB's statement about China is the only one here worth responding to regarding this particular sub-topic.

Not being naive and researching the U.S. Navy’s capabilities regarding detecting, removing & destroying mines prior to those mines fulfilling their intended purpose would be a good idea as well....

Anyone who understands the slightest bit about using mines in warfare knows that this is the very thing about them, i.e. they are easy to deploy but a bitch to remove.

All ya have to do is miss one or two...

And your "steady low gas prices" will be a fond memory.

Along with almost all of yer other "things that are going very well"...that are mostly just happy coincidence and ain't even worth re-quoting here...

And no, your references to Dr. Carl Sagan and his theory of the “absence of evidence is not evidence of absence”, as well as your comment previously in another thread that the “absence of a negative is not evidence of a positive” haven’t gone unnoticed. And I do fully understand his theory, trust me.

I would also say tho that the absence of a negative over a period of time does show a particular “trend” in a specific direction and/or on a specific position one may hold on a given topic.

Trend:

“A general direction of change: a way of behaving, proceeding, etc., that is developing and becoming more common.”

Even after the U.S. attacks on Iran…

Gas prices continue to trend downward:

https://gasprices.aaa.com/

And, what a wonderful week for the Stock Market! Everyone I’m sure is smiling when they look at their 401Ks!

Please tell me you weren’t a Panican?!?
Well, since we are speaking of trends, have you noticed that Trump's approval ratings are trending way down? And, no, not just by one Communist inspired poll. There is a clear trend across polls.

He mighta said it. But your internet search was incomplete. That ain’t even the real “theory.” It is a variation. And validation of my opinions of your...education and...research.

And you clearly have no idea what I was referring to when I used it.

As for the rest of the “not worth requoting” coinkydink stuff….

Anyone who knows the slightest thing about “economic indicators” knows that they can be fickle AF....especially with all the madness and uncertainty your great leader is fomenting.

But that concept went over your head too.

Do you really think it is a good idea to posit that low gas prices say ANYTHING about stability in the real world? The naivete here is relentless...

Now….I don’t know why I should continue to spend time ‘splaining this to you, but my actual point was that ALL of that stuff can change in a mutherfuggin second.

One blown up supertanker. Or one effective terrorist attack on Western soil or in Israel.

People who actually have common sense ain’t feelin real comfy when they think about their 401K’s right now. And your Pollyannaish cheerleading is way more unfounded than any “Panican” bullshit (PLEASE don’t look "Pollyannaish" up for us!).

As an illustration of my point about instability and this entire house of cards that you think is so robust, I offer you... the DJT Media stock price. Have a look at those "TRENDS" maybe...

I won’t bother to embarrass you further with a graphic.

Oooh, somebody mad!

Feelers hurt? Cause you’re wrong and called out?

Wtf does the DJT Media stock price have to do with the overall economy in this country? Or energy prices that are the basis of our economy? Or world economics?

And...you got nuthin neither...'ceptin emojis, of course. They always put a fella in his place, fer sure.

Lemme know if you ever think of a response other than "you're wrong!"

Then again, it don't work out for you so well when ya do, so you may as well stick with this tactic.

Trigger away....
