I think Trump does want peace. However Putin wants victory. For that to happen the Ukrainian government needs to be overthrown.Putin wants to be like the Chinese Premiere (sp). He realizes China won't let go of any territory in its possession. Putin is trying to take back everything (and more) since the Wall came down.
