I just don't understand how any american citizen can argue for illegal aliens, and against ICE for deporting them. The operative word here is "Illegal", and ICE is enforcing the law. It's also extremely disrespectful to the thousands of immigrants that go through the proper channels to obtain a green card or become naturalized citizens.

It is generally not accurate to qualify the people as "illegal". Generally, they have not committed a criminal offense. Overstaying a visa is NOT criminal, it is civil infraction, equivalent to a lawsuit under the law. Being granted entry and a work permit while awaiting an asylum claim is not even close to criminal, such as the 300,000 Venezuelans that have suddenly had their status revoked.
Migrant farm workers are generally not criminal aliens either.
In the actual rare cases of being caught crossing the border at some place
other than a point of entry, that is generally a misdemeanor.
So that leaves you with aliens that either are operating as criminals in organized crime, and aliens that have committed crimes - which is usually the common stuff of the impoverished - Domestic, Drugs, Burglary, and DUI, and then homicides. Crime statistics show that the undocumented population commit these crimes in FAR lower number than US Citizens.
And then you have human trafficking, which falls into both labor and forced sex work. ICE and HSI actually did pick up primary responsibility for investigating this criminal activity. It's really too bad they have to divert focus from this particular modern day slavery.
So anyway, fuck ICE. They have shifting into terrorizing communities and neighborhoods as a whole for political purposes AT THE DIRECTION of politicians in conflict with their congressional authorized duties and responsibilities.
