Sometimes people don't click, but that was probably it, a lot of times they're just trying to get as many appointments out of the way as possible, I've even at times been turned down for 1 hour because they wanted to get another appointment in. I don't know how it works out for them financially, but when you're dealing with these places that get a lot of business it's probably minimal what they gain/lose. If you came in on a weekend there's an even higher chance of that.
