Thank you Bob, and yes I'll follow orders to a point. Already since I've been at Fort Drum there have been numerous instances where I had to step back and go wtf, wont discuss them, but if you've ever been in, or been around the Military you know what I mean. I won't let anyone screw over Soldiers thats just not in these GA bones of mine.
Ditto.

NY I couldn't agree more with that our tax dollars will now go towards another country to better their country and help their people when ours is crumbling at the cracks.

Jobs are promised over here for all education levels, whether entry or educated post college grads, yet some, depending on their educated background, have a hard time finding jobs.
The jobs Obama is creating, isn't creating them for the US people but for people of other countries.

I think it's time for the United States of America to start focusing on just that, The United States. Originally Posted by BrookeButtons

Fucking cave dwellers.
I am sure Libya will not be one to want our help, but will still push our help on their country and then rebuild it, give them more jobs and pull our troops out once we feel that we have done enough for them... while people still at home are on unemployment, welfare or homeless.

I'm all for helping others... when they want our help that is. Until then, I think that we should keep our noses in our own business and stay out of others.
So far the only "help" we've given Libya since May was to establish a "No-Fly Zone" for humanitarian reasons.

[sarcasm intended but not directed at anyone but the Commander-in-Chief and an irresponsible Congress]
I definitely agree. But I don't think we'll be helping them much. Everyone on the news says we're helping, but what we're doing is controlling and installing leaders that are US friendly.

Think the Libyans will offer us Wheelus AFB back? Or more importantly what happened to his amazon bodyguards?

Unintended consequences? They are intended. The simple fact is that Gaddafi was not US friendly. Look at Syria. If we had good intentions we'd be over there stopping all the bodies from piling up. The media puts a whole lot of stories out there about how evil gaddafi is but they are just the sales men that are trying to get us to believe the war is right. I mean look at how they talk about the Mexican guy taht tried to kill a Saudi on US soil. Iran hiring a Mexican?? Thats just a bold face lie.

Brooke, the US Government had sole control over the Bin Laden photos and they chose to practice discretion and not show them. The US Government doesn't have sole control over the Khadaffi pictures/videos, and the entities that do aren't practicing discretion (not that they should). It's as simple as that.
