Would YOU spend almost 53k$ on a pen?

No they aren't a gaggle of yuk-yuks.
Not much different from Lamborghini
or McLaren- you aren't supposed to understand.
It's like opera in the sense you either
get it or you don't.

You look low rent to mock something
just because it is out of your reach.
The very definition of sour grapes.

Trust me little foxes, the grapes are sweet.

That's totally uncalled for, I don't know if you can afford an expensive pen or not but it's irrelevant - you have no class. You shouldn't insult women or anybody like that.

Until now I have addressed no women.
My response was not to simple no's.

But to my myopic fellow hobbyists who
felt the need to besmirch either Cartier
or those fortunate enough to afford it.

The fable of the fox and grapes was totally
applicable. Now just why your privvies
are in a wad is not my fault. Though a quick
gander at your showcase tells me
I wish it was....alas
Oops wrong girl....eh still applies.

Midol my dear.

No, I doubt I'll ever be able to afford
a top of the line Cartier. They do have
some in the $600 range. Not as blingy
but a Cartier nonetheless.
There is a pen shop in NYC I think
it's called Joon's. They have Cartiers
of the type described on sale/display.
It's a stylophile's mecca.
Beautiful store.

Does anyone find writing with these expensive pens to be uncomfortable? My boo has some "special" pens and they feel heavy and weird to write with.

Nothing wrong with good ol' BIC!

I'm personally not that found of pens. I lose them by the masses. I would be pretty upset if I lost a pen that cost 53 grand. We live in a technology rampant society, so pens will probably be obsolete in a few years as is. lol. I'm sure an extra 53k would allow me some quite lovely boots!

What I find interesting here is that there are people who would buy a pen for $53,000 while there's a 70 year old woman working 12 hour shifts making 18,000 a year. The distribution of wealth in this world is baffling.

Everyone defines art and value in different ways I suppose. For me, a Diamond or a vehicle would be the only things I would pay that much for. If you have to finance it, you can't afford it!
