I also am working for much less than I made a decades ago. Part of it is having to accept a job that pays less and part of it is companies not willing to pay workers what they deserve. And part of it is my fault, as I felt a job where you worked 80 hours a week was keeping me from being in my children's life as they grew up - and I do not regret that decision.

I do have to say that if I was a Mexican with a family to take care of, and had to work for scraps in my country, I too would be wading across the river.
