Discrimination

Does not seem an ISO thread. Moving to Co-Ed
Hey Jariou i like you am a blk man in the hobby and realize the hobby is a microcosm of society at large i've been in the hobby awhile now and i've found that once you have references and you give them to a provider and you don't hear back from them you know what time it is sorry you had to waste your time and gas but you will find there are alot of white and hispanic providers that enjoy blk men if i can help pm me but i think you'll get it figured out

It sounds like life to me. Messy and full of b.s. and sure not a lot of fun. It's a pity (and I'm being very serious, not flippant) that I don't have to tell the ladies, "I'm white." But I do tell them my age and that I have the body of a god, Buddha. And, if me and the Benjamin Brothers aren't their cup of tea, I'm the lucky one because the session would not have been worth a damn, or a dime for that matter.

If her BP ad stated it and you chose to ignore it, it's kind of on you.

I can definitely understand the frustration with NBA policies, but the fact is that they exist, and trying to sneak past one is never a good idea. Originally Posted by TheBizz

Plenty of hot ladies here who see black men. Hate that you were disappointed.
Ladies should state in ads if they have an issue with seeing men of color, otherwise it will be assumed that they are ok with it.

I think it sucks that anyone has to mention their race prior to meeting with someone, but I guess, that is just life.

Do your research and visit some of the other "race" threads and you will find a plethora of info on ladies who will and won't see you.

Some very good advice in this thread Jariou.

I applaud Reese and Angie for their EOP policy.

Note to self: Make an appointment with Angie and tell her I'm AA. I'm not but can only imagine the joy of getting her juices flowing in anticipation. Of course, I can only imagine the beat-down I'll get when she answers the door for teasing her like that too. Ain't I a stinker?!

JohnJohn....that's a good one, I must admit...but I'd probably be naive and be like, "so, where do you have black in your family man? Are you like the rare white kid that comes out of an all black family? Pretty cool!" LOL

I KNOW some people like that. - and they weren't albinos.

Very tacky but go look at the NBA thread in National and see how some react when a girl does make this known upfront. You're damned either way.

I am one who does not worry about offending people when it comes to what I will tolerate or how I run my business, so I would have put that crap on my website lol.

I think it is very unprofessional not to ask, then send you away at the damn door. It was NOT your fault SHE did not find this out beforehand. At the very least, I would have taken you out for drinks and dinner for your time spent.

True, mike12345, the hobby is a microcosm of society at large. I was informed that I needed to get some valid reference, from some fellow women hobbyist the day I started my journey. It is all good. I have heard from some Great Ladies and will make time to visit some.

I know the white boys may think "good god angie!" and the black guys might be "yeah, sure you're right" when I say this...but when I get one that says, "I'm interested in seeing you....ect ect...btw, I'm AA." A little part of me does a leap of joy!

The black men in the hobby are so rare - it's exciting on our end to get the variety too...but I can't speak for every girl...so just let em know that you are AA and avoid those issues before they happen.

Hi five amber!
