I think WV was just being "real" and not whining. The truth is that some guys pay us because they don't want to have to act like a gentleman. They strike out at the bar, piss of the SO and just don't like women. I don't think there are a huge number of those here (on this board) but trust me THEY are. I've spent hours getting treated like a POS, trying to give the client the "benefit of the doubt" and plus I was really new....you just have to realize that those dudes are EVERYWHERE, not just here. They are the minority which is why I keep coming back baby!

Now, if you keep your integrity, only YOU can let someone lower or cheapen you. Plus, the next nice guy I meet looks like a damn Adonis to me, so A holes, keep on trying!!!

Exactly my point. I think the assholes are in the minority otherwise we would not have the talent available. I just took exception to the statement "most hobbyist". I have no doubt that you ladies put up with some real dick heads but we hobbyist also put up with some shitty providers. My experience has been that I get a much higher percentage of good providers than shitty ones.

I really enjoyed reading this entire thread. Thank you ladies for responding and also the true gentlemen out there. It took some really nice guys in this thread to remind me that the "bad ones" may well be and hopefully say a minority and never become a majority. Even though, some days it DOES indeed feel like it is a majority.

My original post was pure sarcasm. I know the idea would never work. It was just my type of humor mixed with that sarcastic spark to sort of "relieve" myself of the pressure and stress of the lower classes that I deem the degenerates.

I do agree that the term "most hobbyists" was a bit too broad and harsh. I would think "some hobbyists" would have been better phrased but all in all, WV you came up with much that needed to be put out there and I appreciated it all. Thank you.

It is wonderful to see how many gentlemen came out and shared. And this thread DID NOT even get "ugly" which proves something significant!!! That is a HUGE turn on for me! Thanks guys..........and ladies!!!!

I don't understand what turns the gears in some people's heads. Not only because of the obvious (respect being a two-way deal) but also because there's a considerable amount of funds being exchanged in the process. So why act like an ass? All you're doing is undermining your efforts ...as well as pissing providers off, and wasting your hobby funds. I don't get it.

It's been my experience that there's a direct correlation between how cool and respectful a hobbyist is towards a provider and their chances of having a good time.

Treat the ladies with courtesy and respect and the chances for fun increases exponentially. Act like a knob and it should come as no surprise why the encounter tanked.

Pretty simple if ya' ask me.

True there are some lines that shouldn't be crossed. But them feeling the way that they do about us.. is their business not ours. Our purpose is to be pleasing. If there are certain things you don't want to deal with put it in your advertisement.

But I also think I deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. Sometimes, no matter what one puts in their advertisement, it does not get read or taken to point. It is pasted all over my website and still I get some "jerks" calling me. Some people, I think only read the rate and call you. It happens everyday to so many providers. There is proof if it everywhere. This also comes with the territory and "choice" we made but if WE dont demand respect and dignity and uphold those values to some point, we are just asking to be trampled all over and THAT is something I completely refuse to do, period. If we dont uphold our own values- no one is going to do it for us.

Just because I do what I do, does not give anyone the right to disrespect me in any way, shape or form. This is how I think of "most" human life. I do believe and agree that respect is a two way street. I give it and so, I expect to get it. Just because society, as a whole, does not agree or like what we do and is ready to judge and condemn us, I have and will conduct myself with integrity at all times. That is something I will never allow anyone to take from me. No one will make me feel cheap or use me. I will not allow it. If that makes me a bitch- so be it. If it makes me unappealing to the minority- so be it. I lose no sleep over it. I will be respected. I am a human being regardless of what society or anyone else may think or label a provider as being.
