Russ Wants to Watch

When you rely on Rush and/or Savage for your news, OSD, you tend make a fool of yourself in public forums. But don't worry, you're not the only one in this thread to make of fool of themselves.

To be ignorant starts with being uninformed. As one who listens to Rush and all his absurdities and provocative comments, I heard the discussion he had regarding calling her a slut and I can say the media portrayed it just like he said they would. He is like almost every tax paying citizen disgusted with the people asking for everything to be paid for with no regard for their own self-worth and personal responsibilities. And to put it in a perspective most on here can relate too, I like sex….. Can the government pay for my donation to the lovely ladies I get to meet? If they did I could possibly see more.

A comparison he said on his show was of a women who likes sex but prefers it in a car but doesn’t own one. Should the government buy her a car? People have Asthma and heart conditions. Should all the medication be provided? Should Viagra be provided free of charge? People with cancer have medical expenses. Should this be free? His comments may have been directed at Miss Fluke, but were a sad commentary about how our society has become a gimme gimme gimme state. Where does it end. I am involved with our company health insurance plan and can say riders are put on policies to cover extra coverage’s, but cost money. It was reported when Miss Fluke entered Georgetown, she knew her pills were not covered. That she would have to pay for them on their own. I would bet most college plans do not cover them. I don’t want to be ignorant on this but with most public and private school policies being limited catastrophic insuranse policies, believe I am correct. She has the right to go before Congress if called upon to give her statement and this country has the right to debate. I stand by what I said above even after rereading her testimony. Isn’t this what she wants? Maybe not just for her but it would include her.

“So this is the girl who wants us to pay for all her contraception pills and condoms?”

Call me ignorant Doove but disagreeing with me is not that. Commenting on untruthful reporting is what makes you ignorant. I heard the context and the media portrayed it leaving out the total story which makes it biased reporting on their part because they know the truth but have an agenda to slant stories. Not to become ALL political on here but the biggest problem this nation faces today is the biased news media. This is a perfect example on what they do. No one is denied access to contraception pills in this country. If you need them, go buy them. Go to a clinic and get them free. Some plans offer coverage, some plans don’t. She knew when she started law school it was not covered and now she wants all insurers to pay for them with added premiums. It may be small but things add up quickly. Be responsible for yourself and stop looking at government to provide whatever one wants.

And doove high kudos to you. I believe you to be the Rush Limbaugh of ECCIE.

ok 1 per condom. Or about 8 times per day. Now before you get upset I did that. It is no worse than the things said about Sarah Palin. That you, well and I thought was funny. And I LOL with you.
so why you cryin now

for the word slut. Rush is ok on. where is the line
calling her a prostitute. well he may make her richer
so she can afford to buy her pills and condoms(will she thank Rush)

but she is bitching over 3k when she goes to a school over 40k..
so she could just add the 3k to her college loan

Oh and I do want my 3k from ya. just think of it as seed money. I will tell the girls it was on the house from ya thanks

yes they are. And I did say I could do the gal going to the catholic college.
she was picked for bait
Rush bit
Now the lib's all pissy the plan worked.

but then I do not think the man pill should be covered by health care. But it is by most. We should pay for are own sex pills and condoms.

In her testimony Miss Fluke talked about women who needed the pill for other medical reasons. Thats fine with me if a doctor prescribed for a specific condition. The medical profession should be trusted here. No way do I think condems should be covered.

It is a sad commentary on our society that we continue to glorify guys having sex (studs) and demonize gals doing the same thing (sluts).

Whether contraceptives should be covered by health insurance is a legitimate debate. To me, unwanted pregnancies is a source of so many public-health, social, and family problems that it is a no-brainer that we should make contraceptives as readily (and affordably) available as possible.

Im sure youd be right in there defending Sarah Palin against her attackers or Bristol Palin, Ill go grab some links for ya,Im sure theres a few. Then you might have one ounce of credibility
Well said Jack.

It all boils down to money.

The government tried to put in a bullshit federal health mandate requiring insurance companies to pick up the cost of contraceptives. Similar to mammograms and colonoscopies, the government doesn't necessary pay for these services but put the burden on the insurance plans. I say it's bullshit because contraceptives are the cheapest thing out there and most plans happily cover them. A $4 oral contraceptive is way cheaper than mandated coverage for pregnancies and labor/delivery services. The shit hit the fan when Obama tried to force self-insured religious organizations to cover them as well.

As much as I'm for federal mandates to handle these scumbag insurance companies and allowing access to contraceptives, I'm first and foremost a First Amendment proponent. These religious organizations should be given some leeway and apparently they were. It should be our right to attend church Sunday morning or sleep-in if we choose without the government getting in the way of our beliefs or lack thereof.
