First Visit to New Orleans! Is this a good area?

the parking garage by the hilton, the one closest to poydras and convention center blvd is still an hourly lot. was there last week. think it 6 or $8 / hr. (they have 2 garages over there).

of course harrah's has a parking garage too. think it's 20.
there is lots of paid parking over there.

I think it's a great part of town, its not hard to get to and when Kelly want's to get out and do something it's not far from things to do.

lower garden district is nice too...close to quarter/taxis/streetcar and usually free parking

Mr B's has amazing gumbo, Sylvian is a favorite of mine at the moment. Cochan and Maximos is a regular hangout of mine too. The bar at The Roosevelt is nice and Whiskey Blue at The W is fun spot. I would walk down magazine for shopping for sure! PM me if you are curious about any other places. Welcome to our city. I couldn't live anywhere else. I mean why would you?

Yes, I was invited to the M&G. Sadly, I will be flying in about and hour and a half to late. I'm so bummed.
This trip is NOT going to be long enough!
I think that just means......I'll HAVE to come back!!
