Most guys that are hobbyists are not millionaires, so they want to get great service at a great price, and that is with anything, not just the hobby. For the sake of argument, lets say you would charge $200/hr for your outstanding service, keep in mind that you love what you do and you like the "satisfaction" as well. Hobbyist A comes to see you weekly at that rate, of course you will have many more see you as you are so "rockin" in the bedroom, but focusing on Hobbyist A, you decide that because you want to realize your "full potential" and deserve more money per session hour, you explain that you have raised your prices to $600/hr. Well Hobbyist A says he will not be able to see you weekly any longer and I am sure many other lists you have fallen off of as well, but there are a few guys that will see you at that rate you are seeking, it is not because they do not want to see you, it is because they cannot afford to see you, as we all have bills and are on budgets. So you look at your weekly totals of when you were charging 200 and when you were charging 600 and determined that the weeks you were 200/hr, you made 3000/week on average, when you were charging 600/hr, you made 2400/week as you could only get 4 guys to see you at that price on an average week. If you like what you like providing and are really rockin in the bedroom, I guess you are not too happy seeing fewer guys and you are not happy marketing wise cuz you are making less money as well. Did you realize your full potential?

That's not really how it works. What happens is, I lose all of my hobbyist "A's" and replace em with a totally new clientele. We can still be friends, though!
I don't want to see lots of guys, and it is worth it to most ladies who charge more, to see fewer men at what works out to be the same amount of money (if not more) each week. I used to charge less than $100 an hour when I first started on hooker boards. What I speak of is from experience...not sure where you are getting your experience other than from your own standpoint, which isnt representative of the hobby as a whole. We can charge whatever we want and make more than we did before, without having to take six showers a day. Bottom line. Sorry if it doesn't work in your favor with each lady you might want to see, but by your own admission, there are thousands to choose from. So maybe less bitterness is in order? Any lady can set her price at whatever she wants, and any gent can shop in whatever price range he wants, and it's no use trying to convince either side they're wrong... because they generally aren't.

Dallas is a great venue for both sides. Yes, there are a lot of providers to choose from, which keeps the average rates for quality at the levels we guys know and love. There's also a large client base that can support not only the usual range we see here, but also higher or lower. Dallas probably isn't the ideal HDH market, but it's definitely not a bad one.

And Dannie is right, a girl of any size/shape/age/looks can charge a higher rate and sustain it. It's not just a matter of "oh, you're in Dallas, so no way you can pull off $500/hr when everyone else is charging half that." In order to sustain the rate, the provider does need to do, be, or have something more than the rest of the field. Now that can be a higher perceived quality (better looking, better service), offering something that's uncommon (catering to rarer menu offerings), a sense of exclusivity (rarely sees anyone new, providing the allure of making the list), or just good ole fashioned marketing (you can even make the high price a selling point).

It would take some combination of skill, knowledge, hard work, and invested time to pull it off. A lady can't triple her price overnight without changing how she does business or putting in some serious extra effort and expect it to work out perfectly. Not everyone's willing to put forth the effort, or talented enough to pull it off, but if she is, the rest really doesn't matter that much as to how much she can sustainably charge. Though it does matter for how much work she has to put into selling herself: a provider who just went ballistic on the boards might need a few years to rehab her image, or one who's not everyone's type might need to spend more time digging for the right clientele, or she might need to study up on marketing strategies and experiment for a while to find a good fit.

All that said, I stick close to the 250-300 range, which works best for me as a customer. I get the value for my dollar that I want. But just because I'm not the market (and most guys here aren't) doesn't mean there's not a market.

I have increased my donation {a little} not really enough to make or break the deal... However with the cost of the hotels going up as well as gas, as a provider I have no choice but to increase as the economy increases,,,,, sorry gents....

I understand that as the bad economy and the cost of food, gas, ect. going up, of course, those costs are also increasing for the guys, especially when we are in the mid cities and you are all the way in northeast Dallas and we go to your incall.

But to double or triple your rates as some girls have done is just ridiculous, but as I said before, if you can get a guy to pay that, more power to you. I personally would not pay $600/hr and MAYBE get a few more moans of my name or one or two more eye contacts and/or smiles as opposed to paying $250-300/hr and having the same goal reached seeing both providers, and having that extra money to pay for the monthly bills that have gone up on my end. No right or wrong or bitterness here, but just an observation.

Its been awhile since we had one of these. Dannie, Your wasting your breath on some of these guys. Not everyone but you know who I mean). A new guy I can understand thinking he is being insightfull and trying to be helpfull. Or, just wondering. I did when I was a newbe here.

The sad thing is some of the comments by guys are actualy valid on the face of it. But, some say it in such a condensinding, I know more than you way. And, they totaly do not get that there are powerfull factors beyond market dynamics in play. Supply/demand is a factor in the hobby but not the only one.
