How I love...

I didn't call it Baseball's Opening Day. Without a modifier I'm free to interpret it however I need to.

MLB set yesterday as official "Opening Day", even though I relented and allowed that since only us and the Marlins played, it's probably not worth being called a true opening day for all baseball fans.

Eh, screw baseball I'll just wait patiently for football again.

Modifier or not its just damn wrong..... how do you (MLB) claim an "Opening Day" when you have it structured all jacked up like it is..... its all Money Grab, TV contracts shit..... the saying "If some is good, more is better" doesn't always reign true in every situation/event....... but I guess the bottom line would disagree with me.....

Pirates are gonna be a good young team this year and would not be surprised if they contend in the NL central this year....... its not like anyone ever runs away and hides with the division. Seattle and Oakland are just not good, and very little prospect to turn things around any time soon....... I'll hold judgement on Krane for now, but Draytons last 6yrs has just been AWFUL in regards to reinvesting wisely in his organization.

I will say that I am a little disappointed that there is not a greater Rule 5 presence on the big league squad this year. Why not? If ever there was a year to sacrifice a roster spot on a potentially underdeveloped prospect from another organization, this would be the year. You're bad and its not like you have an abundance of high-end talent that could use major league seasoning.........

Best thing that could happen to the Astros is for Wandy to come out dealing in his first 6-12 starts, and Meyers show out as a back end bullpen guy....... then maybe you can ship both off for Medium grade prospects and dump those salaries.

As long as this season will be for Houston, it will be fun to watch some of these young guys and that fighter mentality that comes with it....

I say watch the kids play, maybe they aren't the best now, but one thing is for sure, they are living the dream, of making the "big show", and will give it all they have. They will still be fun to watch... just my fucked up perspective...lol

Took this earlier as it reminded me of you!
A sunny day in Seattle? Well, that proves it, the world is definitely ending in 2012.
