Memorial Day

Every year it never fails, that one person, that one stupid person bounces up to me and wishes me ... a happy Memorial Day.
What would the proper greeting be? And should it be only for those who lost someone?
Silence is good. I wish businesses would close. I think the most appropriate thing to do is just think about a 20 something soldier who died so young. Maybe it was for a noble cause, maybe it was a stupid leadership decision, maybe it was an accident. They just do what they signed up to do. Most of the time they do it for the guy on their left and right and don't give a shit about much else.

If you want to do something, we all need to put pressure on our government to improve the VA. It is one of the most fucked up systems I've ever seen. The burden on the VA in the future is going to be huge.

Sometimes the guys who die are lucky. There are many living who have lost large chunks of themselves inside, or have images they can't gt rid of.
