Yeah, I'm glad I "flaked" even if it means I lost a chance with one provider. At least I didn't get anyone sick. There are many more lovely ladies that I can "flake" on. Thank you Liz and Pepper.
No problem sweety you can flake with me anytime

Sounds like fun Liz... but what if I switch to Head and Shoulders? I suppose we could figure out something else to do. ;-)
I had a very similar thing happen to me...only I was the one who was the Big Fat Flake! (lol) I had been exposed to strep throat...from a hobbyist...I felt the right thing to do was to cancel all appointments until I got tested. I received some irritated replies, but bottom line is...I did the right thing.

I think the provider was more upset that you didn't CALL or TEXT your cancellation...being that you had been exchanging texts with her all along. You may consider doing that the next time if something comes up. Some providers don't always logon the day of an appointment...especially, if it's an early appointment. Usually, most providers have a system to confirm the appointment...the day of.

Some will have you call an hour prior...to confirm and get location info...but, she should let you know what she wants you to do. Whatever she tells you...follow her directions! It's a learning process...we've all had to go through it! Good-luck!

you did the right thing...her loss....
another subject that brings out provoking thoughts from many..... I tend to agree that I would have used every form of communication to try and let her know what was going on as soon as I found out...

NOTE TO NIKKI: You did the right think to because I don't think there is a cure for streptoCOCKus...

You did the right thing. Don't sweat it.

I stopped scheduling appointments in advance. My job is so unpredictable that I have to travel at the drop of a hat. Now I only contact people when I'm ready to meet. Even that gets screwed up sometimes. Originally Posted by JJ

Thank You Ladies.

Some providers don't check their pm's all too often, especially those who advertise their number. Many providers only see one or two gent per day & she prob could have found someone to take your spot if you let her know by text.
Also, think of the refs u used, did u ever have to last minute cancel on one of them? If so, that info could have been passed on.
But overall, thank you for protecting the lady, any gents she would have seen after you, and any ladies who would have seen those gents after her.... from strep. We all have to do our part to keep the hobby disease free including colds/flu/strep, etc.
