I lived in Chicago half my professional life and the only place you need to go for Italian Beef is Jimmy's. By far the best Italian deli in Dallas. They can make it make juicy if you want it that way. Dunk it!
I'd given up on pizza in Dallas until just recently.
Once you have pizza from a 25 year old hole in the wall Manhattan pizzeria or a deep dish Chicago style one off Michigan Avenue, you think there's never good pizza anywhere else.
Try Pappa Murphy's any where here in town. They prepare it the way you want it right in front of you and you take it home and cook it.
JB's World Famous Pizza located in Red Oak TX has
AUTHENTIC Chicago Style Pizza, Thin Crust (Misconception that Chicago Style is Deep Dish Only)...and they put Yeast in the Dough for a Really distinct taste profile....Italian Beef Sandwichs on the menu....Just opened a few months ago...Owners brother owns two Stores in Chicago....Its WELL worth the 25 mile drive south of Dallas on I35...approx 10 miles north of Waxahachie.
BTW, dont expect a Cubs fan, owner is from SouthSide of Chicago.....SOX all the way....
