Folks have been turning their heads in the name of that next NCAA championship for decades.

This, however, speaks volumes about those who turned their heads ... the entire Nittany nation (whatever the hell that means) should be ashamed of itself.

As fucked up and criminal as all that is, what's worse is that Penn State had an uptick in fundraising this year. Originally Posted by Yssup Rider

why punish the players, what did they do? Originally Posted by cptjohnstone

Two balls to be precise.

I didn't actually mean to imply that everybody who ever went there should be ashamed of themselves. I know it's a great university and a valuable diploma.

But I seriously believe that all PSU students, grads and supporters should be ashamed of what their beloved institution has become.

When Charles Whitman climbed the UT Tower and killed all those folks in the 60s, every Longhorn shared the horror of that. UT was not at fault.

In this case Penn State was.
I remember JoePa's remarks about their integrity and how they would never be like OU, Texas and Alabama. He also dropped Barry Switzers name a couple of time too.

well let me tell you.. this criminal enterprise of the entire leadership of Penn State, both Football and EdU is beyond anything I have ever recalled in NCAA sports. Barry Switzer was sodomized by the NCAA, one of the infractions was buying a plane ticket home for a players whose mother died. The NCAA gave SMU the death penalty for something that is basically nonexistant when compared to the issues at Penn State.

now, I am not an OU fan. Being from Oklahoma I respect their tradition and understand fans of their alma maters. But what I am seeing from the Penn State fanbase shocks me more than anything. They are like Islamist Fanatics.

the NCAA needs to pull the plug on their Football. 10 years. I am not sure that maybe all leadership within the college should be removed and a surrogate leadership program placed into specific roles. I am not opposed to a school name and charter change as well.

And Penn State needs to be shut down for a minimum of five years. Originally Posted by Yssup Rider

They should all be hung up by their balls then hung out to dry in prison but that’ll never happen. They will loose their cushy jobs, their reputations ruined and sued into oblivion in civil court. I think everyone that declared We Are Penn State – not everyone just the outspoken few that choose rapists over children – should have to suffer too. Lob off the offending appendage – their Sports Program. They all get to pay then.
ive lived at places where it was not about the kids as much as it was about money coming in and the same sort of abuses took place because the men had money.

i knew it was the same at Penn State for human nature hasn't changed

WTF kinda sense does that make?

You think maybe Penn State was in the right by allowing this shit to go on WTF?

We've been through this before with WTF. Penn State and Joe Paterno have never done anything wrong. It's best to just pay no attention to him.

Now is that to hard to understand?

My point all along is that this ignorant lynch mob type mentality is akin to some third world country.

Now if you want to make comparisons , it would be like saying disband the LA Police force after the Rodney King beating or do away with the Army after The Abu Ghraib Prison fiasco. Thus my point about throwing out the baby with the bath water.

I thought JoePa did what was required. Didn't he report the incident to another co-conspirator in the coverup? We couldn't have expected JoePa to any more than he did.

Paterno was a major part of the cover up.

Leave Paterno's statue where it is ... just add a blindfold to it.

My point from day one was to let the legal system sort it out and not judge until all the facts are in. Even Friez (the former FBI dirctor that led the invistigation) said that he wished he had been able to speak with Paterno and gotten his side. I reserved judgement , unlike you silly fuckers.

This report is similiar to a DA taking one side to a Grand Jury. Kinda like George Zimmerman. Should we just hang Zimmerman? Let the facts come out. Why the big rush to judgement? There will be trials in which more evidence is presented. I reserve my right to decide until then. You can do as you wish.

On a serious note, I thought he was to old to coach. Reagan was to old in his second term. Old people revert back to kid like mentality at some point and do not need to still be working.
