Bombay is good for Indian.

There's also a Japanese restaurant off of Wurzbach that's pretty good. Can't remember the name. Personally, I'm a big fan of the Huebner Oaks area. There's Chipotle, Saltgrass, La Madeline, California Pizza Kitchen, Ghengis Grill, Fire Wok, Panera, etc. Originally Posted by snake_tony

Yup! That's it. It's a cool little place. It's an office building converted into a restaurant, so the entrance is kind of funny looking. The food was excellent though.

Just had to wait on my hair sylist and asked where I could go get breakfast tacos and they told me a little mexican restuarant off NW 410 Loop between Babcock / Fred Rd and It's called "Rodeo ??? J something" very good food. Can't get enough of the beans in TX. They cooked everything just like I like it. Even my over very easy eggs! I told her to tell the cook everything was perfect.....

some of the best places to eat close to Med Ctr area? Since I'm new to town, I'm always looking for somewhere nice to go.
Both fast food and restaurants....and what is your favorite dish there?

The place I use to get it at in CA was excellent and reasonable, all white meat and two large pieces along with rice, etc.
Anyone else like lemon chicken? Know of any great Chinese eatery's?

Hung Fong's and Ding How are acutally the same as they are owned by the Hui family.
Both are excellent but Hung Fong's is easier to get a table. Generally no waiting.

I'll 2nd Mencius.

I also like 'Regent' at Huebner and Babcock. Ambiance is low, but food is great. Get take out lots of times...

Pasha's is good as well...

Sea Island isn't bad either for seafood, located I-10 access road outbound toward Huebner. Traffic on the access road is a bitch, so be prepared.

Poupulli's near Huebner and I-10 is good as well for a Greek fix...

Magnolia Pancake House just opened on Huebner near Prue, a but more $, but the food is great. Long waits on weekends, be warned...

Old Smokehouse is a good old fashioned BBQ at FRed and Callaghan...

Speaking of pancakes, try Twin Sisters in the Sunset Ridge shopping center on North New Braunfels. Their pancakes are absolutely wonderful.

Well I didn't get out to dinner this weekend, but am still going to try some of these places, they all sound wonderful.
I think I should make a list w/locations and then when I'm out in those areas stop in.
