The corporations, like many people, are sitting on their money because they don't know what is going to happen in the future. Aren't you saving more money, or trying to save, than ever before? I know that I am. Except I save in hundreds while they save in millions. We don't have a single economy anymore.
We have two economies....one for those with educations and jobs, and another economy for the uneducated.
For people with educations things are okay.
For people with little education things have never been worse.
The real problem though is that government spending is skyrocking providing all these benefits for the unemployed, and revenues are down, thus causing the insane deficits.
In the end the US will owe so much money that it will be never be able to prosper much.
And that's probably what America deserves.
In my own country of Norway, where I'm a citizen, we have the biggest Soverign Wealth Fund in the world - 660 billion US dollars - bigger than Saudi Arabia.
We are a united people of hard-working blonde, blue-eyed citizens who pay high taxes but no one ever cheats, and we have had the highest standard of living in the world for over 80 years, all before we discovered oil. We built the best country on earth just by fishing for Cod and Herring and our women love sex more than any women on the planet.
America is a crime-ridden polyglot jungle of a place with no common purpose or value.
America is a violent, imperialistic, warlike culture of hypocrites and spectators.
