HOBBY PHONES ARE A MUST, CONTACTED BY A WIFE

When I got married an old man told me if your wife asks you a question about where you've been or what you've been doing, you might as well tell the truth cause she already knows the answer.
Not only should you clear out the providers numbers, but delete texts, sign out of Yahoo (or whatever), delete the internet history, etc. There's a lot of shit stored on your phone or tablet device. A lot! Even your Garmin needs to be cleared out. Originally Posted by ROC

I've e had to stop seeing a few girls cause they would send me a text saying i want your cock and things like that. I would then tell them they cant send messages like that with your first text in case i didnt have my phone or something.

But they would keep sending so i would ignore now no mores texts from them
. Any girl i text now knows first text if you send me one is say hello. Simple as that. Then you can tell me how bad you want my big homer!!! LOL

Now I just let Yahoo keep my contacts info.
If you have a newer smart phone you can add Google Voice to it and use your present main cell safely as a hobby phone. Google voice will give you any phone number you want from any area code you want and all calls in the USA and Canada are free. This works on Android and iPhones. You essentially turn you phone into 2 phones totally separate from each other. Just don't let the wife or SO know you have Google Voice installed and they will never know.

I use to delete phone calls and text messages but that became to much of a hassle...and all you have to do is forget once and your dead.....I now have a tracfone as my hobby phone...cheap enough and works just fine....don't need a smartphone for this....
Just don't leave the hobby phone laying around or you really have a problem!!!!!

Be safe out there....

Additionally, I do not believe a hobby phone is for every man, but definitely for some.
I think the choice is made, ultimately, according to lifestyle and personality.

Lex, sorry to hear of your woe. Wives happen occasionally. I prefer it when her and the hubby are swinging... ;-)

I also use Google Voice, and I make sure all incriminating data is deleted. The service is perfect for my needs. You have a totally separate number for incoming, and outgoing calls, and like Celso said, it basically turns your phone, into two phones, with no added cost.

This summer I did a providercation instead of spending money on a vacation.
My son borrowed the GPS for his mom to use taking him someplace. After giving it to him, I remembered "recently found" option on it and grabbed it back for a minute to "update the maps" otherwise the ex would have been able to go into recently found and see that it contained only local hotels.

Just tell her you felt the need to take a lot of unscheduled naps at hotels. LOL

Jack is absolutely right. Justin while you may be single, the provider you see may have a SO who doesn't know her activities. He checks her phone and finds your number. Maybe you run across an unstable provider. Perhaps you phone an ad setup by LE. Hobby phones are an easy low cost way to protect yourself... and providers too.
