Never been through any type of storm so this is a first for me. Had pre-hurricane sex on a windy deck last night and plan to do it again tonight. How long does the power take around here to be restored? There are plenty of stores that told us yesterday that they are staying open for the whole thing. Is that common? All that hotels are booked so trying to leave now would be crazy. Just gonna stay put. Have no kids or animals with me, so nothing to worry about. Be safe everyone.

I went and stocked up last night. Sticking it out at my hotel on the Westbank.

My fridge hasn't been this full in a long time! I have pork chops, drumsticks, hot dogs, italian sausage, boudin, zucchini and yellow squash, all kinds of veggies, big bag of taters, LOTS of beer, bud, bud lite, stella, corona, sambuca, southern comfort. Charcoal, mesquite wood chips. Plenty of water, juice and milk for the little ones.

It all depends how bad the storm is. Some areas were out for weeks in previous storms and some areas were effected.
