Oh I hope she can find her furever home too, what a sweet baby!

Having a furry friend is a privilege not a right, I can't believe how some people
treat these wonderful creatures. Originally Posted by Paven

Princess, I am so glad that you are so thorough when seeking a new home for one of these beloved fuzzy buddies. I'm sure that someone would be lucky to have her in their life. I rescued my big boy over 9 years ago back in Hawaii, he was abandoned at 6 weeks of age. He was the first dog that I ever had to teach how to love, he was so cool and aloof with a whatever attitude and he was only a little baby dog! I can't imagine what must have happened to him during his first few weeks of life to give him that sort of attitude. He eventually figured things out and we've had a wonderful life together. I can't imagine life without him. Currently he's giving me the eye, so I best be off right now to take him on a walk lol.

I'm thinking and sending good thoughts to you and puppy dog!

Since Princess has started this post, thought I'd take the opportunity and pass on this site http://www.readlarrypowell.com/ done by a local writer here in the DFW area. There is occasionally info from other areas of Texas and out of state that may be of interest to someone.

Sadly, I can't. I recently had to put my dog to sleep. So taking a new pet would be awkward for me right now.
I will ask around at work if anyone is interested. Originally Posted by sanantonioman37

Then I sit and hold them while the life drains out of them.
I have even rescued dogs that owners took to the shelter to be euthanized because they were old or sick. The ones that were just old, found good homes for them to spend the rest of their days. The ones that were sick I tried to show them love until it was their time to go, then took them in and sat with them. Every pet deserves to have someone who loves them with them in the end. I hate it when ppl just drop their dogs off to be euthanized. So sad.
I said I wasn't going to rescue anymore when I came down here, but it is so hard for me not to when I see an animal in need:-( especially of just the basic love and care.
