I totally agree. I have my pet companions, all rescues, and 2 foster pets right now.
I have a great foster dog, Layla, if you know of anyone looking for a sweet, loving, staffie mix. She is such a great dog I took her so she wouldn't have to go back to shelter...Just a puppy still at 1 1/2 yrs she has spent most of her young life crated/or in the shelter:-(
I have seen both of those stories and there was another one recently where a pit bull did rescue her master from the train tracks when she blacked out on them, the dog lost her leg, but lived.
Dogs I have rescued and rehomed, always remember me when I go back to visit them. One little 4 lb red chihuahua, now named Lilo, was rescued from the mean streets and her nails so long one had grown thru the pad of her foot twice and required surgery. She was adopted by a friend of mine in Cali and when I go see her she is so happy to see me and wants to be in my arms the whole time I'm there!

+1 Likinikki, I've always have 5 or 6 street dogs that are unadoptable b/c they're street dogs. I lost my best friend of all of them last year to age after 12 years.

They're always at the door when I get home, you can't beat that?

It is great when you come home and you get more attention from your four legged friend. So loving, been waiting all day for you. If i could find that is a women i would be dedicated for life!!!
