I have a theory that almost anyone can take a good picture of a pretty girl but (and this isn't to put myself down) it takes someone with talent to take a good picture of a big woman or someone with imperfections.

I may not have understood it at the time, but I believe it now. Just as I believe this one captured you at a moment of time that is part of your essence--- and is most certainly part of who you are.

BTW, your post didn't seem all bad to me. I sent you a PM. It just sounded very honest. We all feel the way that you do, and did, at times. I remember the avatar that you used to have with your head covered with a scarf and just your eyes showing. I used to think that was the most inviting photo. And I actually suggested that idea to another photographer last week while taking pictures.

Beauty? It is in the eye of the beholder. Period. As an example, I used to have this “friend” that was HOT and I mean smokin’. The more I got to know him and see him for who he really was the less attractive he got. He was highly intelligent, physically fit, funny, beautiful and a raging alcoholic. His addiction systematically deteriorated his unflawed beauty in my eyes. I would also venture to guess that the alcohol has also ravaged his body and movie star looks. So…..not only is beauty in the eyes of the beholder, looks aren’t everything.

Frankly, I prefer a man that has average to moderate good looks that is fit over a pretty boy or someone that is all ripped and buff. I love a man’s mind – his intelligence, kindness and sense of self worth – much more than his physical looks. I think probably after his mind, his vitality and sense of humor are two and three on the list.
