Do one-off reviews bother you

On 2 different sites, a friend of mine got a bad review (1 on each site), On each site, the person who wrote only had 1 review and only signed up just prior to writing it. To me, if I was a hobbyist - I wouldn't put much stock into them.

Yes, there can be no chemistry or whatever - in that case I don't think a bad review should be written.

Personally, I think reviews should cover:
* Do they look like their pictures?
* Did they try to upsell you?
* Did they like being there and with you?
* Do they like what they do?
* Is the place clean/safe?
* Are they well groomed?
* Are they what they advertise (GFE, PSE spinner, or whatever they advertise and say about themselves)?
Frequently if I am researching a lady and see a negative review in her history, I will look more closely. Very often I can pinpoint the problem is the reviewer, not the lady.

Multiple NO reviews are more of a problem, and probably will result in my looking for a new candidate.

I'm new so I don't have double digit reviews yet. But I only have 1 'no' in my recommendations. But because I can't see what's being said, I have no idea what I did wrong and don't know what I can do to improve. So yeah, it's bothersome, but mostly because I can't see if it was something that was within my control or just lack of compatibility. (providers should be able to see their own personal rest of the story for the sake of a learning curve. $.02) Originally Posted by Glynette

Just ask any guy with premium access.

Fear of provider blow-back. Or is it that paid advertisers get ROS access? I forget.

I'm on another board and if a guy gives an agency girl a bad review the female agency owners will respond by accusing the guy of being late, cranky, lacking in basic hygiene and deep perversion. And then another agency owner with no apparent interest in the affair will chime in supporting the first. After a bit you can almost write the script. Then the white knights pile on. The predictable result is that there are few bad reviews on that board.

Back on topic, it is so hard to generalize, but one bad review won't be a veto unless it's from a quality reviewer or is so logical and internally compelling that you are convinced the guy is right. But you can never forget that there are two sides to every encounter and even hobby ogres can write a compelling but ultimately uncharacteristic review.
For me, it depends on why it was a no and how much i respect the reviewer's opinion, as others have said. Multiple no reviews especially for the same reason are a big red flag.

One negative review is not a big deal for me. I will read it like Rabbit said to see if it was a service related issue or a YMMV situation. I also look at the positive reviews to make sure there is consistency. I also look to see who is writing the reviews to see if there is a pattern of a white knight or worse-- self review. I also look at the dates of the reviews. Red herrings for me are no recent reviews and/or an extended break in reviews. I've recently found some ladies that haven't had a review in 2 years and are now active again. Makes me go hmmm. I also like to cross reference reviews when possible against other sites. Here, there are only a Yes and No. Other sites have a sliding scale based on 1 to 10. Sometimes I will find a lot of Yes reviews here but the lady rated on other sites as 6.8. That raises some flags. If a lady has more than one no, then I write her off.

One negative review may not be a deterant, but if that review gets a dozen responses from guys saying that they had a similar experience then you have to give it pause. Did the responder do a review of said provider, does responder do reviews at all and is the responder a reputable hobbiest. With all that info in hand I can make a better decision.

They both could have had a bad day and it's what the hobbiest felt at this time. If the 80% lies as AVERAGE or BELOW AVERAGE, then I'm off to the next one!

I've seen providers that looked NOTHING like their pictures ( weighed MUCH MUCH more than in their pictures ! ) I can understand a sandwich or two but I'm talking 30 pounds heavier, but instead of writing a bad review and bashing someone I kept my opinion to myself, but some people will write a bad review just to be an azz.

And if a lady is drastically misrepresenting her current look is not worth mentioning do you feel the same about bait and switches?
I've seen some ladies with out of date photos whom I still had a good time. and I've seen ladies who look exactly like their pictures and had an awful time. If I were to review both cases, the fact the the pictures were off would not mean the review would be negative but would be mentioned. Just as she look exactly like her picture doesn't mean a review would be positive if everything else wasn't enjoyable.

With different people having different things that are important to them in regards to who they see, the reviews that leave out the bad stuff just set up the next guy to experience the same bad things. Which is why you need to look just as closely to the positive reviews as well as the the negative ones.
