Good bye hobby land :(

There is an app called iCab Mobile, it's a web browser that allows you to password it. It will also dump your cookies and history if you set it up to do so. As mentioned above, Opera or Firefox are also good choices. Don't have a shortcut on your desktop for the browser that you utilize for the hobby, and set it up to dump your history and cookies once it closes.

Open a new banking account and select paperless statements. Direct deposit a small amount of cash every time you get paid. If you get a raise, direct deposit that sum. You won't be able to hobby as often, but that is a good thing. It will minimize your exposure.

Password everything!
I don't understand the second hobby phone concerns. Mine stays locked in a secure remote location until I need it on days of adventure. The same with the rest of my hobby supplies.

As far as the browser is concerned, incognito is your friend.
just a side bar because I hope he knows "Hondo" isn't that big......
and it somewhat befuddles me that it appears he has not requested a status change because as FootLong noted above---she can access this site and read everything outside of provate areas...
Perhaps part of her healing process is to read everything he has written and find out what goes on in the ROS.

Who knows.

I hope she doesn't have access to hobby account, cause every time he logs back in he is getting a new email when some one posts here.

I just changed my Gmail account to archive any "reply to thread" emails so that they don't pop up on my Hobby email account...will probably end up changing all my subscriptions to No Notifications at all.

Good luck

Basic computer security "101"

Never let anyone other than yourself have access to your computer "Administrator" account.

What!!! You don't have one of those! Let me 'splain.

First thing you do when you get a new computer is set up the USER accounts.

First one of these should be the ADMIN account. You and only you will have access to that account. The password should not be on the sticky under the keyboard or laptop.

Second - create enough user accounts for yourself and one for everyone else in the hacienda/office who might sometime need access to the web or to software whatever. Create an additional user account called GUEST. You could have two or three "visible" accounts such as Joe/Family; Joe/Work; Joe/etc.

Trust me, the computer can handle all of the above, and the rationale for separate accounts (three for you + admin) should be obvious. Having separate accounts helps preserve data and avoid security issues slopping over common data bases such as OUTLOOK email.

Now, to explain the multiple user philosophy.

"Honey, admin is for our safety and security. It is what gets used when an authorized user (ME, of course) needs to download or update security or expensive software.

The computer's basic software set can be set up so it can be used by any authorized user or guest, and although the software is common to all users, all data created with the software (downloads, photos, etc.) is seen only by that user who created it (and by the Admin of course, if he wants to).

Now, one "your" accounts will be used only for sensitive web work. S.O. has her own account, so do the kiddos.

Wait!

While we are wonking above, how cum you haven't treated s.o. to a computer of her own. Figure cost of a session or two.

Cheap at twice the price for security's sake. Kids, too. With you in charge of all of the units, not just your own (pun intended!).

OK, now that your barn door has been opened and the "mare" of the ranch has figured out the stallion's maneuvers.... make a choice. Stay wed, albeit not so happily, or get a divorce.

Tell TOBAC (the old ball and chain) that all men have thoughts about straying. Y'all likely have a lot of time (kids, too) invested and if there is a way to get back on the happy trails to your chosen pathway, at least make the effort.

I can suggest other pathways, such as swinging, clubbing with the s.o., etc., but best path is either a clean break or a clean up your act.

Best of luck!
get a private contacts app for your smartphone-they are cheap-like 2-4 dollars
