GOD DAMN POPUPS!!

Mods why is this happening?

I don't think that this is a virus on all the systems.

Please give us an answer

Thanks
I hate these damn things.

For a while, I thought I was accidentally clicking on an ad. It makes it hard to be discrete when you are going to an ECCIE forum and a bunch of nekkid wimmen pop up in a new window. If they start adding sound, I'm oiutta here.

I don't know if the pop ups caused all the issues I had today using google chrome, but it's getting really frustrating.

Everytime I change forums or click on a buddy that MF EROS opens a separate incident of Firefox in full screen. I've blocked every aspect of that site but it continues.

Did EROS buy ECCIE or are they just polluting our ECCIE experience?

At the risk of rattling the wrong cage --

Mods, owners, others in position to know, level with us. Is this something that you're doing to us to sell an ad or generate revenue?

I usually use firefox primarily to cruise places where I'd like a little anonymity. (Which basically means that I use firefox only for Eccie.) So as a test, I cruised around some places that I thought would be good candidates for popups. (Which basically means that I cruised around a lot of porn. No sacrifice is too great for the sake of science when it affects the brethren here. You're welcome.) And everywhere except Eccie, I got the pop-up blocker bar that tells me that firefox has blocked yet another popup.

The fact that the blocker feature works beautifully elsewhere, but never works here on Eccie, suggests to me that there's something different about how the GODDAMNED EROS POPUPS (sorry for shouting -- I'm just a little ginned up about it) are treated on this site.

So, back to the question -- fess up guys, do you know why these stupid popups are ONLY a problem here?

Respectfully submitted,

Stag, Esq.

Every browser has a configuration option to block popups.

Popups have been blocked since day one of using any browser. My popup blockers work as intended except for here....

Mozilla has a Firefox add-on called Blocksite. It will stop EROS from loading. You get a new window but it is blank and there is a message that EROS was told to F*!k off (or something similar).

I would hope ECCIE has not authorized this. It acts more like a virus than a sales pitch.

The pop-ups are bought and paid for so they aren't going anywhere. Can't blame the site owners for wanting to make that extra money. However, wouldn't it make more sense for the pop-ups to go directly to the Eros Dallas page? I am not just saying that because I am that page too...but its a big reason.

To open a full incident of your browser is more invasive than a small pop-up. The Firefox add-on works (sorta). You get a blank page instead if a site you didn't want to open. This is worse than just advertising pop-ups. If we wanted to go to EROS, we'd key it in.

What will be next, live street walker cams paid by their pimps along with loud lousy music?

Just my 2¢ worth.

My point EXACTLY, Adonis -- thanks. My pop-up blocker is on, and it works everywhere on the Net except here. Why?

I'm not up on the latest of web programming, but this isn't just a pop-up - it is opening a new incident of your browser. That may be a way of getting around the blockers. Sort of an anti-missile missile.
why can't anyone tell us what's going on? every time I click on my inbox there is Eros AGAIN! I don't get pop ups any were but Eccie WTF
