Seriously? There's no mod bias?

Since warnings and infractions are not posted in open forum it's hard to claim bias. I personally have gotten both for the same thing you did. Most just don't open a thread to complain about it.

The purpose of this thread is for the mod to explain what's considered insulting and thread hijacking to the point that an infraction is issued? Or is that based solely on whether the mods had a good day or not? How do you abide by rules that's this ambiguous?

If pixels on a computer screen get you so worked up that you have to hammer reply after reply after reply, then maybe the mods did you a favor by issuing you points.
