providers are able to legitimately read everything but the " Rest of the story."

it appears they dont like it when they get caught they are seeing everything LOL

No one is getting "caught"... they can ALL see the ROS freely without doing anything special or out of the ordinary.

E dot com had a section for the provider to respond to reviews, only one comment was allowed. I liked that aspect of that site. If you allow more than 1 comment you risk a full fledged war being created if the provider disagrees with what you have to say. However, here on Eccie the providers have a vast array of tools and opportunities to communicate her thoughts and opinions also. So it kind of balances itself out. So I think it would be nice if a provider was allowed 1 comment only, just to have her say.
