Had an ex find my "work" pics in a folder of mine on my computer (it was open and minimized & he was nosy) ......some of them have a review ID on them and he asked what were they/when did I take em' and tbh I repressed how I explained them lol.
It's your money and marriage (if you're married and Hobbying) to lose. All you hubbies keep on leaving those bread crumbs spread about. Using the home computer....texting on your non-hobby phone...unexpected "appointments"....unusual ATM withdrawals.... I've made really good money representing the pissed off..soon-to-be ex-wives based in large part on discovering all of the evidence you forget to delete..wipe...throw away or fail to think about before you do it. I depend on the less-than-discrete Hobbyists to fund my trips, lake house, boat, cars, fine wine and other toys. Be careful out there!
Use a VPN service, so ISP can't track your activity, and keep your browser in private mode or wipe it clean after each on-line hobby use. Don't download and store hobby related materials (photos, avatars etc.) on your computer. Set up different users on shared computer and password your user login.
Sure wiping browser history and cookies means you will have to remember all those passwords but make them good and something you can remember like childhood address, grandma's address etc. (alpha-numeric).
Google Voice is good but create an Gmail email account and tie Google Voice to it, and it only. If they want a backup email address to send password reset to just make one up, don't tie it to your other email accounts. Use web-based email only. Don't tie it to you email client on your PC.
Hushmail offers free and paid web-based email. Email is encrypted and company is located in Canada. Difficult for PIs & LE to subpoena.
