Iran Fired on U.S. Drone Before Vote
Iranian fighter planes shot at an unarmed American drone last week, Pentagon officials said Thursday, in an unprecedented air attack that raises military tensions in the Persian Gulf.
The Obama administration didn't publicly disclose the November 1st attack at the time, which was five days before the U.S. presidential vote.
"I think there was a reason that it didn't come out until November 8th," said Rich Williamson, who served as one of Mr. Romney's chief foreign affairs advisers during the campaign, in an interview late Thursday. "I think that's because the people on the other side thought it would have political ramifications. It would raise issues they didn't want to address."
White House officials declined to comment.

Shit, Obama probably could have used it to his advantage by doing what any Republican president would have done: start rattling the sabres. A President Romney probably would have launched an all-out invasion of Iran in order to try to capitalize on the event.
