P.S. Certain hotels, I know that Courtyard by Marriott will do this sometimes, you can ask if they have a half day rate. (Say that you're waiting for a flight and need a nap. Call around.) I had an old friend in Dallas who used to do that for her appointments all of the time. Personally, though, the one hour hotel (notel) sounds fun.

They have those Palace Inn's in Houston. Surely there are similar ones here!

There is a hotel on I-35 and Market Center that has good rates.

The Linfield Inn. I-35 and Ann Arbor. Had some RW fun there with a kinky gent friend of mine several times. Not a good neighborhood, so if you stick out like a sore thumb, it may not be ideally safe for you to venture there.

There are all sorts of zoos, so just suppose you're looking for the suburban zoo, the Quality Inn by Baylor on Plano Parkway takes cash and asks no questions. You could visit any number of suburban zoos while there. Start at Preston and Park and work your way north. Bon Voyage!

I walked in to a motel in OK back in the early 80's I'd been on an oil rig for 4 days and was tired of sleeping in my car. Asked for a room and the clerk asked 'you want it for the whole night?'. $12 and I was the cleanest thing in the room. Should have spent a few minutes in the bar and picked up something to lay on.

Actually every hotel could be by the hour.

I really need to find something in the west Fort Worth / east Arlington area. I've about decided that (as a few have noted) the < $50 for a room around here is okay, but would sure like something a little cheaper. But what about check-in/check-out times? I need something around the 11 to 1 time frame. Any ideas?
