As the honorable RockyDoc states so succinctly, rumors abound about unprincipled individuals shorting envelopes, offering verification or favored status in exchange for free appointments or risky behavior. Of course no accusations can be made that can be proven, but that the stories abound are at least some evidence. Especially since the wronged may be afraid to come forward and if they did would be unlikely to find a forum. That a community names the behavior may be enough. The fact that someone cares enough to say a thing is wrong is better than turning a blind eye. With multiple mods for each area of the board, I would assume that bad moderation by one would result in complaints to the others.
