when Denver opted to take a knee with 2 time outs and 24 seconds left and run out the clock, I knew they were fucked ... 3 passes and a field goal could have won the game, and shit like that is exactly what Manning does best ... Denver gave that one away..

the GB ass kicking, I expected ... the talk about new era QB's was pretty heavy. I thought, YUP Johnny Football is on the way ...

You are a football authority now, too?

A found of facts.

More like a heap of manure.
It came down to the flawed mentality that many coaches have. They have a great offense in the regular season, but err on the side of caution in the post season. John Fox is a run first type coach who has a brilliant QB. He was willing to let it go in the regular season but in the playoffs he didn't. Not throwing on 3 and 7 with 2 minutes left. Taking a knee at the end. These are things that plague a coach like that. They had the defense on the ropes and the game on the line, it should have been in Peyton's hands.

I am still amazed how Vince Young made it to UT, it sure want on his academic abilities.
That was the best thing they never did. Originally Posted by seedman55

Peyton doesn't have Elite QB arm strength and endurance anymore. Denver is doing things to disguise it. When he made that throw across his body that was INTed he looked like Favre against NO. He'll be able to get away with it one more year - maybe.

Just off subject for a second here.

When you look at a NFL stadium, that has what....60k to 100k fans all bunched together? Ever wonder why a target rich environment for terrorists or a mad gunman has never attempted to let loose?

Do you think terrorist groups know that would cross the line and we'd pull out the nukes if they ever did?

I'm not sure about how stadiums are elsewhere, but my experience here is that they at least do bag checks, patdowns, and make you pass through a metal detector before you can get into the stadium here.

Like the old adage, "Drive for show, putt for dough," defense does win championships. Obviously, Denver's couldn't hold the Ravens regardless of who the Bronco's QB was. Giving up two touchdown drives at the end of both halves in less than 1:30 ain't gonna win you many rings.

And, Peyton's arm is fading as the interception showed per gnadfly's observation. And, that wasn't the only floating, zipless duck he threw yesterday, either. But, he's still got a year or two left and if the defense had played a little better it wouldn't have made any difference. But, they didn't and it did. Plus, Flacco and the Baltimore offense is a little underrated. With Ray Lewis leaving, the Raven offense will have to crank it up a notch and I think they can.
