Suggestion for the "requests and ISOs" forum

Duke, maybe some of these guys do not want to soil their hobby reputation by publicly posting ISOs for their particular fetish and would rather just lurk on someone else's ISO.

There is an easy solution to that: Create another alias. Although against the board rules, I suspect this practice might be behind the recent increase in "new members" willing to share info on their tranny chasing experiences.

Well, Duke, for me, even one new find can make the cost of PA worth while. While abused and very anoying, its not hurting anyone. If anyone is not willing to sift through all the chalf, don't read them. Many, even most may not be happy with the current use of the forum but others may not care and still find it usefull. If its that bad, then why do so many still post threads there?

My only issue with your specific suggestion is it cutails the exchange of information. Often first ideas are not the best solution but can spark conversasion about the topic and lead to a better solution. Keep up the good work!

You are making a point that since some still put up with the "chaff" that it's OK. I'm looking at the other users who complain, and the many that don't, about a forum that COULD be helpful, but instead is full of ads and crap.

Oh, I won't argue that it gets no traffic. I never said that. But go look at the content, and you be the judge of the quality. It's subjective, I know, but yourself's post is FAR from the first complaint I have heard about ISO.

I will add this: ANY forum on this board will receive ads from providers if they think they can get away with it. It's the internet equivalent of graffiti. Again...just a personal opinion, but keep them to the ad spaces. When I want to see ads, I know where to look. Leave it out of the OTHER content areas that are designed for OTHER things.

As many time as I hear "this board is for X," it makes me smile, because many people use it in different ways. Even the idea of "information exchange" is a gross oversimplification of what ECCIE is, IMO.

This was far from a "first idea." It's just the one I settled on. If it changes, great, if not, no big deal.

The existing route is to point members that hijack posts, including providers that do not meet the criteria of a given ISO.

Sounds logical.
