New gun buyers hurrying in to "get theirs"...

Mr. Obama has sold more guns and ammunition than any other president. Actually it's kind of funny. I wouldn't jack with a 9.
45 only

Now is not a good time to go to a range unless you go early morning on a weekday.

The Army gave me a fantastic skillset that, even though I'm not enlisted anymore, I train to keep. One thing I never had the opportunity to learn was long distance shooting out past 600 meters. I barely scratched the surface with Squad Designated Marksman training, shooting open iron sight M4s out to 600 meters. Unfortunately, the National Guard doesn't get many opportunities to send individuals to Sniper School at Benning, and my school reservation was cancelled twice.

Now that I'm out, I want to finally get that training done, so I had a gunsmith work up an custom action and barrel combination built onto the Accuracy International AX 338 chassis. Not having any ammunition to be able to shoot that pretty weapon is a travesty...

I am thinking of selling a couple of my ARs at a hefty profit and waiting till things cool off and buy a few more.

If you did not buy up as much as possible months ago, you are a fool.

When things cool down, I will purchase again. I doubt I will get my .223 for 6 bucks a box again.

As far as 9mm ammo they have been sold out for months Gander Mountain Also but did see some 40.S&W ball ammo 40$ 100 rounds . Originally Posted by carkido45

I'm still sitting on 6 boxes of .40 cal ammo just because the few dumbasses that have inquired want pre-fear-of-the-awb pricing. Not my problem you didn't snatch it up while you had the chance.

I don't begrudge the gun shops their opportunity to turn a profit at the expense of these morons. Hell, half of them probably voted for Obama in the first place. But its fucking annoying how hard basic shit is to come by when we all know the assholes buying stuff now will likely never use any of it. Some of them are gonna do something stupid and hurt themselves or someone else because they never once had any instruction on firearms safety. Or they'll leave a loaded rifle in their closet and never tell their kids and they'll get curious... And that's going to feed into the bullshit statistics on firearms accidents... Its bullshit and it makes me want to choke a hippie. I normally don't shoot .223 either, but when your brother asks for a hand sighting in new optics for his bushmaster, you've gotta pick up a few boxes. But not for $25 a pop. That's just fucking stupid.

And you guys bragging about how you reload obviously haven't tried to pick up any imr4895 or 4064 recently. So spare me your "i-got-this-figured-out-junior" self-congratulatory crap. If anyone has a line on 8lb tubs of either, shoot me a PM.

I will +2 on the 45.

2dogs, I have sold 3 AR's lately, and made a great profit. Fools. lol

Wakeup, roll your own and you will always have ammo.

And everyone should have at least 2-3000 rounds in any caliber you own. Just hope my ammo safe never explodes. lol

I dont buy the Monarch steel, dont want the steel casings at all.
I got a good deal on some Monarch that was brass but I also picked up some federal 5.56
Not sure if they priced it wrong on the Monarch or what I do know it was on sale and after that they wanted 9.99 a box.
I think I paid a little less than 7 a box for the federal.
I also stocked up on ..380, 38 special, and .45acp.

Anytime I saw it on sale I picked up as much as I could carry.

I do have two boxes of .357sig for sale if anyone is interested.
I normally don't use but 3 to 4 rounds to sight in a scope. I use 4 targets (together), make the first shot, don't move the gun....move the scope to the first shot. After that its a minor tune. Sometimes you get lucky and only need 3 rounds. I'm not worth a shit at over 300 yards so I don't even try. Bad eyes
