Yes Bob, I am sure there are advantages to living within the loop. But a hell of a lot of disadvantages also. Like cost/and or small size homes and apartments. Crime. Traffic, and constant noise. city fees and taxes. Etc.Housing is cheap due to homes being built on old rice paddies.
Katy is great if you don't have to commute downtown. Very low Crime, Nice small town atmosphere, VERY cheap home/property costs, low taxes. and you are in quick driving distance (at least when it is not rush hour) to anything you want in the Houston area.
