Interesting article. My 2 cents.
I wouldn't have a problem marrying a provider, since I know that I would never use that against her.
I feel that I have 'paid in non-monetary ways' many many times for companionship already, so I have no problem giving her money if that is what she desires.

I think the article should have added a paragraph about 'semi-providers' and 'semi-johns'. Those that go on the dating boards to get sex or food.
For example: Women that will lie about love in order to get restaurant food or gifts.
For example: Men that will lie about love in order to get eye candy or sex.
They both look for the short term gains, and not marriage.

So far I have nothing but good things to say about the women I've met who are providers. The open mind for sex activity is hard to find in the vanilla world and asking for kink seems to generate a negative rep. The yahoo articles tend to be a little thin. On sites like alt.com users have been posting none of their information can be used for 'research'. An English teacher at UNM got busted for posing as a dominatrix and trolling for material. Marry a provider, maybe, but seriously doubt the opportunity would present itself unless I hit the Lotto. OK, twice in one week, (inside joke).
